Virtual Supports for Implementing Evidence-based Practices through Distributed Leadership

Staff from the Lead for Literacy Center are joined by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and Washington Educational Telecommunications Authority (WETA) at the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) 2021 Virtual Conference to discuss the use of online resources to improve implementation of evidence-based literacy practices within a schoolwide, multi-tiered system of support.

1. Understand the five elements of the Lead for Literacy Center Framework and how they contribute to an effective, schoolwide multi-tiered system of support.
2. Learn ways to utilize online resources and virtual supports to assist with recognizing evidence-based literacy practices and facilitating their implementation to support students and staff in an effective, schoolwide multi-tiered system of support.
3. Understand the importance of continuous improvement and distributed leadership when applying research to educational practices.
